A junior sweatshirt for your little girl is an absolute must-have — always in fashion! The sweatshirt is a sporty-style garment with a simple cut that appeals to both children and adults alike. Our online shop offers a full collection of sweatshirts (pink, navy blue, grey, with or without a print, with or without a zip) for your little girl. Here’s all you need to know about this classic piece of clothing your little one will love!

What exactly is a sweatshirt?

For those who aren’t sure, the sweatshirt was originally reserved exclusively for the wardrobes of American sportspeople. Today, however, the sweatshirt has been embraced by the fashion world in general and is now a key part of current trends. The name “sweatshirt” relates more to the fabric of the garment than to its design.

Different styles of girls’ sweatshirts

Oversized, straight-cut, slim, cropped, long, with or without pockets, hooded or not… The sweatshirt is ideal for dressing your little angel.

Hooded or non-hooded sweatshirt?

It’s hard to choose between these two styles — both are sure to delight your little girl! A hooded sweatshirt is perfect for adding a cool edge to your child’s outfit. It’s ideal for staying warm when it’s a bit chilly, especially with two pockets for your little one to tuck her hands into!

Printed sweatshirts for girls

Prints come in so many varieties, in both winter and summer! Parents know that a printed girls’ sweatshirt is an instant way to make their little angels shine.

Colourful girls’ sweatshirts

Colour has always been a way to make clothing stand out and sparkle! Tie-dye is making a big comeback on clothing, and sweatshirts are no exception when it comes to your little one’s favourite colours. Bright and pastel shades are always a hit with little girls.

Sequinned girls’ sweatshirts

A sweatshirt embellished with sequins is hugely popular — perfect for your little one to wear wherever she goes.

Some sweatshirt looks for your little girl

A cool, edgy look

Opt for a comfortable zip-up hoodie layered over a slogan t-shirt for a fun, bold look. Add a pair of trousers, quality shoes and you’re done!

Give your daughter a chic look

Opt for a brilliant white sweatshirt paired with a lovely tweed skirt. Finish the look with shiny boots in winter!

What to wear with a sweatshirt?

  • With jeans or trousers: add a pair of trainers for extra comfort!
  • With a skirt or dress: add fine tights for cooler days, to keep your child warm.
  • With a pair of leggings: which your child can wear with a long sweatshirt.

A sweatshirt also looks great worn with a cardigan or jacket. As you can see, a sweatshirt is the perfect choice for your little one — it’s a true chameleon that goes with everything and keeps your child comfortable, so don’t hesitate to add one to her wardrobe!

How to keep it looking great over time?

Washing

Your baby girl’s sweatshirt is available in a varied range. Some styles are made from 100% organic cotton. This natural, GMO-free fibre is an excellent choice for those who want to be kind to the environment through their wardrobe choices. Easy to care for, whether pure or blended, cotton can be machine-washed. Choose a gentle wash programme at 30°C or 40°C maximum with a mild detergent to keep your little one’s sweatshirt looking great for longer. It’s best to pre-treat any stains before putting the garment in the machine using a specialist product. Never scrub with these products — simply apply to the stain and leave to work before washing. To remove food stains from cotton, avoid bleach, which can burn the fibres, and household bleaching agents, which can cause yellowing. For coloured cotton, treat the stain with acetic acid and rubbing alcohol, then gently work into the fabric. Cotton needs to be ironed, but be careful with printed designs. Turn the garment inside out and iron on the reverse side. Iron at 110°C maximum — level 1 on your iron. Always avoid tumble drying, as too much heat reduces the durability of clothing. Embroidered or sequin-decorated styles should be washed at 30°C minimum with a neutral soap on a gentle wash programme. If there is a stain on an embroidered, beaded or sequinned area, apply a sufficient amount of Marseille soap to cover it well, 15 minutes before washing. Wash on a gentle cycle and the stain should disappear.

Drying

To dry, remove the sweatshirt from the machine immediately after washing to prevent excessive creasing, and gently blot between two towels. Place it on a hanger or a flat surface until completely dry. For ironing, use a maximum temperature of 110°C on the reverse side of the garment. Regardless of the style you choose for your daughter, dry cleaning and bleaching are strictly prohibited. When taking the sweatshirt out of the machine, avoid wringing it to squeeze out the water. The fabric fibres are more pliable when wet, which can cause your sweatshirt to crease. If pilling forms on sweatshirts, you can easily remove it with a pumice stone, a lint roller, the scratchy side of a sponge, or — if you’re clever about it — a razor with slightly blunted blades. With superb quality fabrics and a mini price tag, you’ll find the sweatshirt that becomes an important part of your child’s wardrobe.
